Looking for Merrow MG-3U for finishing patch edges

Hi - I'm looking to purchase a Merrow MG-3U. This machine is used to put the sewn edge around a patch to finish it.

Please let me know if you have a used one for sale. I would prefer to purchase the machine in Florida or a near by state.

I am intersted in a merrow machine too for the same purpose.
Not looming at that particular make and model.

Has anyone successfully used a overlock machine to obtain the same result of a merrow machine?
I am in North East Ohio by the way.

Hi- You replied looking for the same machine as me for patches. We own a bunch of regular overlock machines ( 1 needle - three thread). I'm unsure if these machines can have their stitch condensed down enough in length and width to look like a good quality patch edge. It may be a matter of running a good textured poly thread to give the stitch a more condensed (shorter) look. I will get back to you if it tests good.
