Regular flood bars on automatic presses leave a trail of ink on the left and right sides of the screen requiring you to routinely scrape the ink back to the inkwell by hand. You either stop the machine and lose production time, or you have another person do it and risk injury by performing the task on cycle. Winged flood bars work to control the ink every time your screen is flooded.
