Does anyone know of a person/company who specializes in moving embroidery equipment?
In particular: we see a great deal on a used Barudan 6 head in Phoenix and would need to move it to North Carolina. Disassembly would be needed to physically get it into our space because of our building front.
We are not at the the level to accomplish so we are looking for someone who might provide whole service or parts of the service. Perhaps seller to dissassemble and we can get moving company to haul, but then would need major help to re-assemble.
Or ideally a company that might provide the whole package?
Any Thoughts?

Is it width of the door that is the problem? Or is the front entrance set up that your not able to go straight in?
Reason that I ask is that we just picked up a 2 head barudan and the width allowed us to go in through normal door ways and I'm seeing that the 6 on the barudan site is basically the same width.....We did however have to take the doors off...but that was pretty easy.
I would be very concerned about taking the machine apart...and then putting it back together...these are very precise pieces of equipment and I know I definitely would not go that route. Regardless my opinion the largest lengths and width of the machine are the frame...and thats all welded together..so no taking that apart..... I may be missing something though...if so please feel us in.

I never heard of a multi machine being disassembled to gain access into a building. Tho i have heard of holes being created, something tells me Repo is right taking a multi head apart is probably not wise.

I moved 3 machines (2-6 head and 1 single head) using a wrecker going real slow. I had to take the Automats off the machines but they fit fine through the door. Now this was only 5 miles in a rural area.
If you're wanting to move a machine for a long distance without damage you're going to have to crate it somehow. If not then I would opt for a 20 foot bobtail rental from hertz and have a wrecker pull it on top of the bed and back up to the bobtail to roll it onto the truck. Strap it down real well and enjoy a drive across country. The other way is to spend big money getting somebody else to do it for you. I bought some leather machinery years ago and managed to move it all other than a 24 ton clicker. The lift wouldn't even move and I couldn't rent a truck with a rail lift without a CDL. Paid a moving company $600 to bring it to me (15 miles) at big city pricing. The above example of me moving the embroidery machines took 3 trips, one for each machine at about 2 - 3 hours total for the wrecker service. Cost was $300. Helps to be rural and know people.
