I can say with certainty that this dryer would be sufficient and keep up with a one manual shop using water based inks. It would be slow, and if your image is too large you will be folding & loading the shirts very tight to fit them on the belt.. but it will work.

That being said, if you plan on strictly running water based inks you should look into a gas dryer with forced air (mini-sprint) and plan for a move to an auto.

we might be interested in this piece. we need to check on how many shirts per hour this piece can handle.

did you use this with automatics or manuals?

thank you,
Kim

Kim,

We're currently running this with one auto & one manual. Output depends on print size, but we have processed up to 1k pieces an hour.

Waterbase / discharge inks require a good long gas dryer, and time in the tunnel. You can play around with an electric dryer, even a large one, but you won't be able to get any production done.

That's right inksolman, we're moving this out to make room for our gas dryer... but we're also running two autos. A one or two manual shop could get some stellar milage out of a dryer like this.
