Need Help! Replacing 3.5 floppy with usb emulator

Ok, got an emulator but it seems to have a problem reading. I have an Inbro 12 needle 1201c machine. Any help would be appreciated. The lights will flash and it looks like it is reading, but gives "Sector not found reading drive A". I try to format on the machine and it gets to 98% and errors out.

I had a similar problem with a Barudan/Meistergram 800. The system reads a 3.5inch 720kb ss/sd floppy disk formatted to FAT. I had to create folders and limit their size to 720kb. The machine sees the folders as floppy drives.

I am not sure what emulator you have and I have never tried this on an Inbro. It worked on the 800. Let us know if this helps.

I used the PLRElectronics emulator. The instructions came with the emulator but the device itself limited the size. When you compile the folder check the size and keep it under 720kb.

Also... I don't know how old your machine is. It may not need a 720kb disk. The newer machines use a 1.44mb disk. In that case you would want to keep the folder size under 1.44mb.

I had created two folders, a 000 and 001. Dropped a single embroidery file into each and still no luck. Found some drive partitioning software but it won't partition less than a 7 meg each each partition. This is getting frustrating.

Well, I finally found a computer with a cd tray to get the files off. I did get the emulator working and far as I know it only is seeing one disk. I was not to concerned with having 100 folders, but just getting rid of the floppy. It is so much easier now.
