Hi,
I am thinking about starting an Embroidery and/or Embellishment business from home. I don't have experience with either, but am a fast learner and am a hard worker.
I am currently an IT Program Manager but would like to be able to start up my own business that I can build in the evenings and on the weekends.
I have 2 boys and would like to market to sports organizations. In addition to sales, I would like to offer fund raisers.
Any advice would be much appreciated as I begin to research how to get started.
Thanks,
Tracey

Re: Newbie
I would suggest you find service providers that will take orders from you as a commercial/wholesale acct... then go sell in the evenings and on the weekends to start... if you get orders then sub them out to the providers you have approached. This will let you see if you actually are getting orders before you spend money on any machine or software for yourself. Also selling and fulfilling orders on a part time basis might be all the time you have to give!
Working only on weekends and in the evenings might not be enough for your clients though... what if they want to talk to you Monday morning for example to discuss an issue with the order you delivered on Sat? Sales can be part time, but Customer service not so much.
