Hey all. Total newbie here. I have already benefited greatly from many of you before signing up. I spent a lot of time reading about WHAT to buy. Thanks for all your help so fat. I'm sure I'll have questions here and there but I'm so new I am still learning what I don't know. LOL!
I bought a used SWF E-1501T single head from the folks at Notcina Corp. I paid for a new set-up and training day and was OH so glad I did. This thing rocks! I have spent the last few days playing around getting used to it and learning the IDS software. I am pretty schooled at vector graphics but this is a whole new world.
Looking forward to associating with you folks.

Welcome!
Ran an SWF machine myself at my past job for years. They are great quality!
The digitizing is very similar to vector art actually. If you are using the new AI Cloud, there is a plugin that will convert the vector directly to stitch files. A ton of new embroidery software also have this option. Just get the hang of columns and you should be fine as things like complex fills are exactly like vectoring an silhouette.
