Hi there.
First post here, sorry to start off with a massive question :)
I'm looking to invest in a printer to start producing some products for a small business.
Some things I have in mind are vinyl/decals for motor-sports (Motocross, rally, etc)
I will need to purchase a vinyl printer and cutter but do not know what is best for the job for the type of product I would like to produce.
For this type of application I need the vinyl to be very heavy duty, and also relatively resistant to things such as fuel spillage's and things like that.
I would also like the vinyl to be precut, so the customer can simply peel the decal from the sheet without having to cut them themselves. Also, it would be nice if the printer could print fluorescent colors.
Some other info I need would be what type of vinyl to buy, what type on inks etc will be suited to the job, I am new to all this so have no idea what I am looking for!
So if anyone can recommend a printer/cutter it would be much appreciated! And any recommendations on some good software to use would be helpful too.
Many thanks

Re: All new to me, looking for advice on printing and cutting vi
For a Printer/Cutter combo you will probably spend @ 10 - 15,000 for starters. Then a laminator, rolls of vinyl and laminate, ink (either cartridges of 220 or 440 ml or a retrofit bulk ink delivery system) there are also thermal color printer/cutters. Layout tables and the gamut of tools for doing signs/decals. You will also need a decent computer with either Corel or Adobe and a sign making/vinyl cutting software package.
Here are a couple links for Printer/Cutters.
