Forums:
customer data base, quotes, approvals, invoice etc?
Just starting out, I would like to get on the right track from the beginning.
What are you guys using?
Do you create separate forms?
or
Do you have software that does all this as a work flow?

Re: Quoting, Invoicing the customer.
for 2012 we have switched to quickbooks online... ( qbo.intuit.com ) The basic package allows up to 3 people on the site at the same time and backups are in "the cloud" lol .. You can login from anywhere without using gotomypc or pcanywhere or the like and you don't need to keep a server up and running while you are in the field.
We use it for quoting, taking deposits on approvals and new orders, as well as invoicing our clients. Everything is all in one system so financials are pretty much in real time. Seems pretty user friendly and allows quite a bit of customization.

Ted, seriously... why haven't you moved on over to TSB?
There is an entire section dedicated to this topic.
I even have a topic on there basically like this with a bunch of replies. I just can't stomach the prices of any of them. :)

Ted, Digitsmith is good for 2 things. Buying used equipment and seeing what drama Robert has caused. That's it. This site has never been, and I doubt ever will be a great place for information.
