I don't really see why it wouldn't... what about a dip tank Ted?

It's just one of those things. A big thing for me because I am tight is making sure all the ink is scraped back into the pot. Less waste, and is therefore quicker to clean also. I wouldn't buy that. We have a parts washer type but mostly we clean on the press with a rag and turps, only two minutes a screen. Sometimes in the summer period we get a school kid in or after school as a cleaner, means it still takes four minutes not two, but at a third the labour cost, while we keep printing.

Dip tank is the way to go.

Nice and simple, scrape the ink out of the screen (clean up cards are great for this) try to salvage as much as possible, drop in the tank and go do something else. Come back in a bit rinse out with a power washer and degrease. Repeat with the next four or five screens.

I agree.
We card out as much ink as possible to extend our ink costs and save $$.
We have a dip tank that holds five auto screens and we run it a bit hot so that in 10 minutes or less, it's ready.

dip tanks RUIN roller frames, IMO! Just saying IMO...

We let them soak while doing other things but will run them through quicker when the pile gets high. I did add a drip pan next to the tank so I can pull the five out and let them drip off and put another 5 in. Then start washing them out, once we start we can keep on going, no waiting for the next batch or as we pull one to wash put another in.

The only trouble we had with the rollers is sometimes on the older ones the powder coating starts to flake off. If it is a small spot I'll just sand it out or just remove all the coating if they get really bad.
