Hello everyone!
I am a long time hobbyist that has been digitizing for fun for several years. I am using Embroidery Magic 2 for this task just because of cost. It was extremely affordable. I feel I have taxed it's ability.
I am considering going into the embroidery business as a home-based business. I am building a website and intend to do businesses with such items as hats, shirts, etc and digitizing their logo.
My question is 2-fold. In my area, the only commercial-type machine I can purchase face-to-face with a representative is the Happy line of machines.
Is anyone out there using this machine or familiar with them? I trust a first-hand user over a salesman.
Also, any recommendations on digitizing software for the more serious business person?
Any and all comments welcome!
Thanks in advance.
Re: Happy Embroidery Machine/Digitizing Software
Happy makes two types of machines, Commercial and Intermediate. Both are good machines and it depends on what you intend on doing with it as to which one I would recommend.
The commercial machines are hardy and well made. You should be able to do anything you would want with the machine and it will hold up.
The intermediate machines, Happy Voyager, etc are an intermediate machine and are good for a hobbyist or home business. They have a lot of plastic parts so I am not sure I would recommend them for a production machine.
