Loops help

When I'm doing a satin stitch and its looping, is that a machine problem or a digitizing problem, From everything I read online it seems to be the machine, Tension, bobbin, speed.. etc? Im just curious, because when ever we have had loops, ive always just tried to change the density of the embroidery, but never really know how to fix it.

I should also say that I'm using a Tajima 6 Head machine.

It is a tension problem more than density. You may have to do a H test to get your tension right

Multiple possibilities.

1) The tension is off. Set the bobbins tension and then dial in the upper tension using the H pattern sewout the previous poster said.

2) The thread you are using may have been wound incorrectly or too tight. I found this problem using rapos thread. Thread would reach the first tension set and pop because the thread was trying to form it's own knot. The transition caused skipped stitches and looping.

3) Your take up springs may be adjusted incorrectly. I run Barudans and have had to adjust for more travel on the throw of the spring to reduce the problem on thick items.

4) The needle depth adjustment is not correct. Mine was off by 1mm when I checked it. Adjusting to the proper depth solved the looping issue on my single head.

So a dirty machine probably does not help I am assuming, my embroiderer doesn't really seem to want to listen to what I have to say, basically saying all her stuff is set up right. We are embroidering them on the one head and they work fine. She said maybe the 6 head doesn't have enough power. whatever that means, she still thinks its my settings i have chosen for the logo, or that's because we are embroidering them on toques. Here are images of the machine I took while she was out. Is this going to affect a lot of embroidery?

Hey thanks for all the info, I do think it is a machine. All the white thread on the machine was looping, so everything must be off, It really wouldnt surprise me, my embroidery doesnt really like to listen to me, and the machines are pretty dirty, as you see in another post I just posted

Yeah, while I agree dirt is not cool...to me it really is not the issue.. It is a Machine.. they get dirty. It really is a machine operator error (which also explains the dirt.. no pride in keeping the machine clean then what do we expect from them as far as pride in keeping the embroidery quality?? not to mention some of that oil or dirt staining product??) Garbage in, Garbage out.. no pride in work quality will suffer.
