Hoping for a quick Answer on Fills

If I'm doing a Square box on a hat, and I'm doing my fill at / that angle, What kind of underlay should I use and pull comp to keep it square. I have a hard tome with boxes and having them keep their shape on hats unless I do a side to side or up and down fill, which I don't like to. Hoping for a quick reply because Im working on the logo now. lol

going to try to explain it here. below is the box broke up into sections so you can see. first...i create a fan shaped manual stitch underlay, and then i go around the parameter twice. this helps stabilize the cap and hold things still.

then i use an angled fill stitch. using about a .22 pull comp (the bigger the square, the more pull comp you need)

then outline it was a satin that is wide enough to cover over any gaps with an offset to the inside by about 15%. make sense?

Pretty close to what I have, I just use the underlay built in and not a custom underlay. Also I do everything in Inches and spi, lol maybe I should convert. I am Canadian :P

the fan shape really helps. i start at the middle of the bottom, go up, then fan to the right til you reach the bottom. then back up from the middle to the top, and fan out to the left. then around the outside twice. i usually still use the regular fill stitch underlay. sorry about the metric! my first software was all in metric so i'm just used to it. i think the .22 is basically a quarter of a milimeter pull comp
