HI
I recently acquired a Barudan BEVY and would like to setup the network connectivity.
From reading online, it appears I need the LEM Server. My machine came with a network connector. There is little info on
Barudan reps tell me i need t a DB9 to RJ45 connector to my computer. A RJ45 cable is connected directly from BEVY to the computer. The rep also says the software is free to download, although I cannot find it online.
i would rather ask for assistance here to get a better understanding on what is really required. Appreciate some feedback.
Thx
Re: Barudan and LEM - Network Connectivity
well, i got it to work. No need for LEM Server. Need some kind of protection key, which i am assuming need to be bought from Barudan.
I found out by trial and error the machine will use a DB25 to DB9 null model. on my win10 computer used a DB9 to USB converter. I used it with DFS and was able to upload files very quickly to the Barudan machine.
Also, DFS has an feature for automatically making files available to upload based on a 'Watch Folder' . In theory, all that would be required, is go the machine and click download.
Cant get this part to work. Not a deal-breaker, just an extra step to manually invoke the upload button from DFS software. I am not sure if this feature supported on the BEVY machine. If anyone knows, it would be great if you can share the steps.
Dont have DFS manual in English. I found one in Portuguese and Google translate worked Ok. Maybe its explained in DFS, if someone can provide it.
Thx
