New at Heat Transfer

I own a print & copy shop and have printed transfers for customers who brought in the transfers and we just printed their files and that was it.

What is needed for us to do everything from A-Z?

We have a Canon color laser printer.

I assume we print the photo, design, on the transfer material meant for a heat press so I need to start with the proper transfer material and then get a decent heat press and t-shirts and we should be ready to go, is that safe to assume or am I missing things?
