Anyone else sick of this or is it just me. The boards are literally filled with this nonsense now. If your doing honest business why not post your price.

Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
Yes, and I've posted about it multiple times. They do this so the value isn't easy to determine for those who want to sell their machine as an individual. It's pay for play on the for sale side so it appears that an individual pays the same price as the dealer to advertise the machine for sale. Nothing wrong with that but there needs to be a dealer for sale and a individual for sale section. I would also like to see a requirement to post a price but that will never happen when the for sale board is dominated by 2 entities now.
Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
To hell with them if they cant post prices. I wouldn't buy. Dealers only anyway.

Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
Are there any mods on this site or do they just not care. The entire embroidery section isnt even a classified anymore. Its literally became a wall of dealers listings, with no prices.
If they arent going to make it a requirement to post prices spliting the category into dealer /individual is a great idea.
Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
OK I get it... BUT if people cannot post their REAL names... why should they post REAL prices? If you are doing HONEST business put your name out there. just sayin!

Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
That is not even a relevant argument. The two are not even remotely related. What forum or board ever made guests use there real name. Maybe they should ask for peoples dob and social as well. So they can get spammed by dealers lol.
This is a classified board is it not. The majority of the people coming to digitsmith are coming here to look at used equipment, not to sign up to a equipment dealers email list. Post prices or set up a separate board.
Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
I am not saying the forum has to MAKE you use your real name.... but if you are doing honest work why would you not? Spam is SO EASY to get rid of now. Identity theft? Again easy to prevent up front.
I personally would not feel comfortable dealing with AJAX72546+4 I want a real name with a real website or contact info.. I want some sense of legitimate business... even if they are a home seller. But hey that is just me.

Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
I think what Custom Crowns and Stitch Intl do on here is nothing short of spamming. Because of that I would refuse to buy anything or refer anyone to either of them. Ive had second hand pricing and its not much short of the new price on reasonably well used machines. That line: "oh this one has sold but I have another"... They ruin this site.
Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
Bringing this back bc it appears as though the webmasters just dont care. The embroidery classifieds are a joke. I thought I was on digitsmith but it appears as though I am just at an add site for 3 different used machine dealers.
Maybe its about time to create a second embroidery classifieds for non dealers.
Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
Right! If you want to do honest business, you should be honest to the buyers, and it's better to post your price.

Re: NOT POSTING PRICES TO LISTINGS
They post machines they don't have, they post without prices..... these are ploys to get contact numbers and start a dialog with you. This is basic data gathering. If you play along, they can throw items at your email or phone in hopes of getting you bite on something down the road. I for one believe pricing should be in every post.
