Printer?

Hi Everyone. New here and wanting to get into the dye sub hobby/business. Very new to this....so please bear with me.:o

First off, I have several printers in my home. An Epson Stylus Photo r2400, an HP C5240 All-in-one, and a Lexmark X5650 4-in-1. Would ANY of these printers work for dye sub printing? Can I maybe switch out the regular inkjet inks for dye sub inks for these? I figured, I have these here. Maybe try keeping the costs down by using these if possible? All your help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Curt.

You would be better off purchasing a printer specifically for dye sub. An All in one printer definitely would not work well for sublimation. Sublimation ink is designed specifically for Ricoh or Epson printers, so that would leave out the Lexmark. Your best bet would be to buy a mid range Ricoh and dedicate it specifically to sublimation. It will produce a much better result for you in the long run.
