Problems with white underbase and color placement

The company i work for just bought a DTG printer and hired me to operate it. However, we have recently had problems with the color layer lining up correctly with the white underbase, at times it can be up to 1 cm off(on for example a 280x280mm square). It appears as though the white underbase is actually not being printed in the correct spot but the color is.

Anyone run into this problem. We contacted the distributor here in south africa for help but they are slow to respond and we have production waiting.

This problem can be caused by a number of factors. The first being the file you are printing from itself. If the white channel in the TIF file is not lined up with the color channels, you will have to fix that in the ripping process.

If its not the file, slow your machine's speed down and see if the alignment corrects itself.

In the Set up/RIP software for my DTG there is an offset that you have to program in. You will have to go looking for it but it should be somewhere in the software. Maybe page layout? Should be constant so print a small square, see what the distance between the white and colour is. Then put that measurement into the offset. You will have to try it a few times to get it spot on. Mine is set at -.6mm.
What DTG and software do you have?
