Hi. I am in the process of getting a machine for home embroidery. My question revolves around the benefit of leasing vs. outright purchase of the machine. There is a reasonable purchase at lease end available.
I would be interested in several opinions, both pro & con. Thanks.
Re: Purchase vs lease
If you can afford to purchase then do that, if you cannot, then lease. By the end of the lease term and then adding the buyout amount... wouldn't you have spent more money than if you had just bought the machine outright?

Re: Purchase vs lease
Initially I had a lease because my finances were unsure at the time but I did pay too much for my machine. In the future I'll either purchase or get a bank loan. Leasing can be good if you think you might trade up at the end of the lease but no matter how big you might get you can always use a singlehead for sample sew-outs so you probably won't want to trade that no matter what a salesman might say.
