Raised prices during the Holidays?

Hi, we have had some new clients this season because their usual digitizers have raised their prices quite a bit just for these past few weeks. I mean to the point of $100 for a normal $25 design!! Is this common? we are getting the windfall and doing our best to hopefully keep them as clients after the holiday rush has passed.

I realize we cannot just add staff. so the only way to do the additional work is to work longer hours and the weekends (NOT OUTSOURCE) and sure maybe that deserves additional fees. but I tend to think of it as customer retention, customer thank you, and hello new customer marketing by NOT increasing during this time of year.
