Definitely not an '90 or newer press. My guess is 1988 on this one.

Thank you Bill. I have had 3 M&R techs tell me it's a 91.
I put the range on there due to your recommendation when I first
Sent the pictures to you. Thank you for your input. .

My guess is 87-88 tops for vintage. I see a lot of things at first glance that would be an issue for a potential buyer from the photo missing parts, rust, etc......

Thank you for your input CGS sales. Rest assured all parts will be included. Such as The security cables, etc. all rust has been sanded away and metal has been treated.

Not only is this press in immaculate condition its comes
With a WARRANTY THAT EVEN YOUR COMPANY COULDN'T MATCH!

Below is a quote from and email from Bill Foust himself about this exact press.
Bill isn't this what you said?

"Joe,

It looks like a top notch restoration. I would like to get the pictures as attachment JPEG's so I can enlarge them and pan around.

Thanks,
Bill

Silly question then -- if all has been done then, why not post pics of it like that, so buyers know what they can expect ?

I was just commenting on what I took from a 2 min look at the photo.

I do think you did a fine job with the press. In the photos you originally sent me the Pallet mounts were not easily viewed, the mounts you have there were not being used in 1991, yours are a for sure pre-90's. The square head supports could have been from an older machine and transplanted on to a newer machine, however the pallet mounts and lack of flip up heads dates the machine to 80's by my experience.

I have never heard a negative comment regarding CGS, price, performance, warranty and customer service have always been top notch from all the comments that passed my way.

CGS.... Why go on to peoples posts and talk ****..it's like anyone selling any M&R presses you come on here and say something??? the bottom line is this.. because of your company and what you charge for a "restored" press you have made the used market increase to prices that are totally comical...i mean our autos have gone up over the last 5 years..lol.. what as your company doing before the "totally refurbished" i mean you guys all sold presses that you told customers "we have gone through the press and replaced anything that need to be replaced" right?? so whats the difference you put a couple of guys on it paint it and go through it..lol... i mean you offer the same warranty on this stuff but the price increase is at least another 30-40 percent...makes no sense...i mean great for you but really the used dealers going up in price because M&R goes up in price.. there's no doubt they make the best auto and that's all we run at our shop but what you guys are doing to the used market is pretty funny... oh and this press is pre 90 good luck with your sale...i guess we should all just make it a point to "ask questions" on all the CGS posts....lol...

If you think informing people of a correct age and some issues I noticed from a quick glance at a photo is talking ****, that’s your opinion. I’ve talked to way too many people that have had bad experiences buying used equipment by not being informed or doing their proper research. Was just pointing out a few things to help people out to make sure if they are buying a “reconditioned” machine, that they should be receiving a “reconditioned” machine.

As far as our pricing, sure our prices are higher than other used dealers, that’s no shock, but you get what you pay for. All used equipment is not the same. Our work, machines, and support speak for themselves, just ask our customers and repeat customers.

CGS....OK so I want to buy a press from you...what's the warranty on a press that's been "restored" and what's your warranty on a press that has not been restored from you??? I mean why should someone pay an extra 10-20 grand for a press from you when..lets say on gauntlet the most costly thing is not going to cost 10-15 grand to fix unless the press is totally destroyed. If your warranty is the same for both types of presses then really what am I paying for?? "just like new" lol nothing is just like new after 2mil prints or 3mil lol...really why don't you just say " Hey M&R increased their prices for new so we need to do the same for used" lol just my opinion...i mean how much resto was needed for a folder bagger that's 25k now..lol flashes that are 3500?
it's not even in the same ballpark man...the only thing I will say is that at least you have enough balls to put your prices online...

CGS Don't be a hypocrite... ATTACHED ARE PICTURES from a post you put up on July 10th 2009. It is a very similar 10 color 12 station Challenger just like mines you have it listed for over $21,000.

Nowhere in your post do you mention the year!!!It even uses the same supports as mine. My post is very informing. Your clearly neglect that detail.
I wonder if the buyer ever was told the year???

There is an ABNORMAL AMOUNT OF "RUST " on the control panel in your pictures. So is this what you consider "reconditioned"??? THEN MINE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED BRAND NEW!

Your comments on my post was was not to help the buyer in any way but the interest of your own.

You continue to contradict your self and practices. Clearly you are scared of the tiniest bit of competition and uses tactics to run them out of town. Sorry but that will not be tolerated here!

Competition is good for the industry as it drives prices down.

I had no problem with you until you slandered my product with all the wrong intentions. AGAIN THAT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED BY YOU OR ANYONE!

I have always believed that "GOOD BUSINESS BRINGS BETTER BUSINESS".

I ask again, please do not make any more comments on my future posts.
YOUR COMMENTS ARE NOT GENUINE AND ARE NOT WANTED NOR VALUED!

The rust on your machine I see is not on the outside of a control panel, but on threaded rods, bearings and rails, places where rust really shouldn’t be on a reconditioned machine. I could go on, but will leave it at that.

You do see that post was from 2009, in 8+ years things have certainly changed in our facility and things like that don’t head out the door like that anymore. We’ve gotten better at what we do and raised our standards.

Some of these changes were brought on by comments from others in this industry and customers. You could take the constructive criticism and improve on things in your process, instead of thinking someone is trying harm your business.

SURE THEY DON'T... I AM NOT GOING TO DIG UP MORE PICTURES OF RECENT SALES.

CLEARLY YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE. YOU ARE ALL OVER DIGITSMITH GIVING "CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM". I'm not the only one who noticed. Yet i don't see any one else stooping to your level.

STOP THIS BEHAVIOR AT ONCE! WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!

if you have any positive feedback or advice you could clearly send a private message
to anyone of us. but you don't. you want prospective buyers to see. Furthermore your website is on my post . You are driving business away from my post with negative comments to your website.

All the complaints that have passed my way about CGS Sales are coming true. You
are showing the very nature of your ways in this post.

YOUR ARE OVER PRICED, OVER PROMISED , AND USE SHADY TACTICS TO DRIVE BUSINESS.

Again, please do not make any more comments on my future posts.
