This is a great way to get into CTS inexpensively. Going to CTS relieves many of the hassles with film - baby sitting the film printing, worse registration (typically), film cost and time, longer exposure times, etc.
Having to use film for printing larger quickly made us purchase a new CTS unit instead of keeping on with this one for 23x31 screens and film for larger screens.
This uses water based ink from an Epson head to print directly on the screen. It fits up to 23x31 screens (we only do 23x31 screens on it). To do other sizes, other jigs will need to be made or ordered to fit those screens in the system. There is one small issue currently with the CTS, the screen pops back out when first sent in to be printed but then prints fine afterwords.
We are still printing with this CTS once a week to keep the print head printing 100% (nozzle check every week).
The MSP3140 had it's blanket replaced recently since we started using it again with glass to do 25x36 screens. With Screenjet imaged screens we of course don't need the glass or vacuum, the exposures instantly goes on with this unit with no vacuum going since we preset it to 0 vacuum.
We are asking 17K or best offer for the CTS and exposure unit together.
16K for the CTS alone
$1200 for the MSP 3140 Exposure unit alone (comes with glass, extra blanket material).
