Sublimation printing problem

Hi Guys,

I would like to find an answer for a printing problem I am having.

All my printed pictures look a little red. On some prints it is not very obvious, but for instanse I printed a gray picture and it was light redish (the black text on the picture was ok).

I am using an epson 1400 with bulk ink system and sawgrass' Power Driver IQ 1400 color manager software.

Do you know if I am having a software or printer problem?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Did you get your color problem fixed? I am having a similar problem and thought
perhaps knowing what you did would help me with my problem.

Thanks

Good Luck, My 1400 is driving me crazy. I have 2 jobs due Thursday and this machine is way off. The black started feathering and I have tried everything and everytime I try something it gets worse. The first time I run a nozzle check it was not very good but after 2 head cleaning, and cleaning with simple green the checks were worse. Then I tried to manually prime the colors - no help. I think I would throw this machine out the door if it didn't do such beautiful work when it wants to work.

Contact Sawgrass. They have a magenta problem from time to time. My guess for both of you is to call Sawgrass and tell them you are having an ink problem. They probably will address it with a tech guy if their RIP supports your printer. A coordinated effort produces better results as well
