Tijima information

I am looking at a 1991 Tijima TME-HC912 machine. I am having difficulty finding any information online to see if it is going to be a good buy or not. What kind of questions should I be asking? Does anyone know if there is a common problem with these machines. I know that Tajima is top of the line, but with this being almost 20 years old, I am just not sure. The price is amazing! (which has me a little worried) Any input or information I can get would be greatly appreciated!

Anything pre 1998 (I think) doesn't trace. Meaning it is very easy to hit a hoop in those machines.

I am assuming by the HC912 that this is a 9 needle 12 head?

Be careful, most of the older, bigger machines are 3-phase power, make sure your building can accommodate that, or be willing to spend the money for an electrician to convert it.

Have you seen this machine in person, or at least seen pic's? I'm not super familiar with Tajima's especially old ones, so I'm not sure if it even is even capable of tubular/cap embroidery.

Market value for a machine that old is almost nil, at that age, its kind of an "if you have the means to move it, then just take it" situation. lol

Hope that helps.

In 15 years I NEVER used trace
Like i told you cap frame sistem is old,use the machine flat
You can switch power from 380V/three phases to 200V/three phases from power box

cap frame sistem is old and I don t know if you can make good quality cap
you can use the machine flat-make tests before
normally should be OK,is a good machine
verify if the machine has under thread sensor!!! you need some experience to work without
you need disk reader or a software to load programs in to memory machine
