I have owned 2 of these machines for 15 years and have only had to have help in one major repair.
I am at a loss. --- The bobbin thread won't pick up on one machine. ----
I switched the bobbin casing from one machine to the other--it is running fine . I also replaced needles and the rotary hook assembly and timed the machine a couple of times.
Any and all help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Re: Toyota 860
Sounds like timing issue, Do you time it according to marks on needle bar or from control panel?
You might want to check the needle depth setting on needle bar to make sure it hasn't moved, So when you time it, The needle bar is correctly set, I have the pdf from pantograms that explains the procedure.
let me know if you want it.
Re: Toyota 860

Re: Toyota 860
Have you sold your machine?
Re: Toyota 860
To the original question. I had the same problem with my 850 a while back. It may be 180 out. Also, check the picker and rotary hook assembly positions, they might be too far in, or out. Do you have the service manual?, I can send it by pdf if you need it
