I have noticed the same thing.

Its printing season boys. When it slows down again there will be more available.

Here is my 2 cents for what its worth.
1. I see a trend of people using and repairing what equipment they
have, rather than incure new debt .Printing prices in general are
somewhat stable in the custom market, but profits are not rising
to cover ink,consumeable products. The contract market in the
USA is slowly sliding down at best. Only 1% of the contract printers
are somewhat sustainable, with the 99% left suckin wind!
It is difficult for some printers to justify extra larger payments for new.
2. A good amount of used equipment is being bought, and is heading
to other countries ie: larger print machines also shortens supply.
3. In the past, in general, a large portion of used machines came on
the market when printers sold their machines, to buy larger machines,
more colors,stations to grow their business. There are larger machines
still being sold today, but at a small fraction of the past.
4.Older smaller machines are being kept to print neck labels, one color
work.
5.Credit for any capital equipment is harder to get.No more second
mortages for screenprint machines.

6.Last but not least! Some equipment has done its time and ends
in the scrap yards.

I can not wait for the economy to improve! I think we are a long
way off,but there are great opportunites and profits to be made
now, for those that are wise!

I agree with Winston.
We have zero debt right now and that's what's keeping us doing well. We would like some new equipment, but just can't justify spending any money right now. Maybe next year if all keeps going like it is for us, we will pay cash for our newer additions. We will never finance, that's for sure:)
