I'm expanding my business by purchasing a commercial embroidery machine. I've been doing all of my embroidery work on a home machine up to this point....purchasing low quantities of thread, backing, etc from a local dealer whose prices were not bad. I'd like to know where other commercial embroidery companies purchase their supplies from? Do you have a "go-to" online company that you buy your supplies from at wholesale cost? Thanks!

Re: Where do you buy your embroidery supplies?
I have been using allstitch.com They are fairly close to me (Baltimore, Maryland) so I get my supplies pretty quick.
Re: Where do you buy your embroidery supplies?
MADIERA USA. have used their thread and supplies since starting in 1989. Not the cheapest for sure but have never had a quality issue that warranted shopping around. I have cones of thread that are 5 years old and sew just fine (learned this last month with San Antonio's annual FIESTA with a couple of large projects )

Madeira, A&E, and ebay. You can find a lot of stuff on ebay, needles, backing , etc. at great prices. I wouldn't by thread on ebay though unless it is new in celo.
Re: Where do you buy your embroidery supplies?
I buy from madeira USA.
They have good quality at a reasonable price and service is great.
There are a few things like Hoops that need to come from the dealers but most of your normal thread, backing, bobbins, needles etc they can handle.
There are other threads that are good but Madeira has been my thread of choice for many years now and they have never let me down.

Backings, toppings, and foam from Fabrictex, LLC...732-225-3990
Needles from whoever has gros beckert or schmetz on sale.
Thread and bobbins I use my own that I import.
Lots of masking tape from ebay.
Re: Where do you buy your embroidery supplies?
Forgot, you might try ebay or craigslist for the hooptech clamps, hoopmaster, or fast frame stuff if you have a need for that as well.

Thanks so much everyone! I've ordered from AllStitch before and they were great to work with.
