I just recently bought an TAS 8/10 automatic press. I'm still new to the Automatic Presses, But I was told a 7.5HP air compressor would be best used for this. But I already have a 6.5 HP air compressor 60 GAL, and was wondering if this would also work as well to do the job. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Re: Which Air Compressor is needed for an Automatic Press?
First find out from TAS how much CFM of air is required to run this press than find out the CFM output of you compressor? If not enough than stepup to the size required for your press. Do this inorder to make you press run properly.:o

Oh okay. Thanks for the input!!

If the press has a servo indexer and ac heads that compressor should work fine but if it has air heads you might want to beef it up some.
