Wholesale products?

Yes, another newbie! I have been reading all your messages and have learned alot from everyone. Glad I found this site. I'm doing reseach and tring to figure out costs before I jump into this. Anybody know a good place to get wholesale baby blankets and other supplies? I live on the west coast. I also am thinking about getting a Brother PR620 and the software that comes with it is PE-Design 7.0, anyone know if that is very easy to use or is sending out the digitizing easier. Most of what I'll be doing is going to need digitizing so I would rather learn how to do it myself.
Thanks

I get most of my baby blanks from sanmar.com. They have bibs, blankets (fleece and flannel), onsies, diaper bags, etc.

As far as digitizing, I do my own. I have found that the best way to learn is to run designs from many different digitizers while you are gaining experience in embroidery. I learned more from running other digitizers work to see what worked well and what didn't. I taught myself and found that embroidery experience is the most important part, and trial and error was a close second. It took quite a while, but I eventually got it.

i have found that searching Google always seems to help me when i am trying to find a wholesaler or a drop shipper for wholesale products. I always usually ask alot of questions and alot of times they are very helpful in helping you get started. hopefully i can be of more help if you need any.

I've been please with the satin trimmed baby blankets from Terry Town 1-800-742-9793(located in CA). They also carry a micro fleece style.

I'm not familiar with the PE-Design software but learning to digitize takes lots of practice. You might find it easier to contract out digitizing while you're in the early stages of your business. Then you can work on prefecting your digitizing skills without the pressure of having to finish an order.

Thanks for the info. I'll give them a call. I thought digitizing might be a bit of a challenge but would love to learn it. I'll take your advise and send it out till I get my skills up.
Thanks,
Teri

Try New England Fleece for baby blankets. Super good prices, wonderful blankets even after dozens of washings. the babys come in basic colors with or without the satin trim, fyi - I sell triple the number of not trimmed over the trimmed.
