Although the e4 is coming out, i'm planning to get either e3( $1500) or hatch by wilcom( $1200),
Can you guys tell me which one is better
P.S. e3 is on sale because of promotion going on but e4 will be like $4000

For $1500 Wilcom may ask for your competitors software as a trade in.

Watch out when buying Wilcom E3. They can be sneaky on the pricing. Shop around the Wilcom dealers and see whats going on at the moment. When I bought mine I got a great trade in deal for the basic E3 alone but found out later some people worked in a couple of the elements for the same price. Also wait for holiday pricing to add the Element plugins. I got all the Elements I'll ever need for a few hundred bucks during a holiday special. Unless you digitize for people all over the industry you may never need some of the plugins. I got mine through Balboastitch.com. Great people.

I'm in the same boat I used hatch for the 30 day period time I like it easy for my to do things but it wont support our machine since is a hobbiest software?

my local distributor sell E3 for 1800 and apparently I'm able to do all I need with this version I need to research on this. al I want is to be able do digitize my clients logo flat and hat to embroidery and also to do aplique

That price for E3 is their base software. Full blown can be 14k.

what is includes in their base version?

So for e3, Embroidery studio is like $1500
But if you pay$3000, you get all the elements shown in the link except the bottom blue one which is Sequin, Chenille and Schiffli

Although i haven't tried out e3 yet

Hatch is really simple to use and so is e3 when i talked to their salesperson
e3 already comes with corel draw 6, but with hatch you have to buy separate
Hatch has by far more 3 letter initial than e3
Applique is confusing in both of them, because when i talked to e3 salesperson, they say you have to make applique in corel draw than switch to e3 and make stitches

Overall, I think hatch is better, What do you think
Because i can buy corel draw x6 seperate

Ok so what is basically the difference between this 2 embroidery studio vs hatch?

that's true. there are several plug-ins that probably wouldn't be included for that. best plan would probably be to get in touch with someone at wilcom and have them explain the exact differences. they probably have a spreadsheet with what options are included...or not...with each level.

digitizing...since 1996. dixiedesigns.net
