I'm buying a new Tajima Neo plus C1501 from Hirsch .
The price is 16,000 for the single head. My question is
can I get the price down? The sales guy said that's the
best price and the lease Compay said that is a good price.
I feel the are trying to play me. I just want to get a good machine
And a good price any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jim
Re: Am I getting the best price?
Sure you can it's like buying a car. .. . I wished I'd know that when I bought my SWF single head. I thought it was like buying a computer and he gave me this deal and that and now that I have been in the business for almost a year.... I wish I would of wheeled-n-dealed a lil more.

no extras are included in the deal. i just don't want to be ripped off. if I can't get a better deal Im probably going to buy a SWF instead. Anyone buy a machine lately and get a good deal?
Re: Am I getting the best price?
I just bought a new Barudan BEVT-Z1501CBII on a cart with standard hoops, ESP start up plan which includes all sorts of start up stuff and never ending training for 2 people per company, installation and training on site for 2 days, cap framing device w/2 frames. Wilcom ES21L lettering software, and double hoop master kit for under $17,000

Re: Am I getting the best price?
What was the starting price they wanted?
Re: Am I getting the best price?
$15,500
We went to the ISS Show in Orlando and they presented us a quote there. I don't have the quote in front of me but they gave a show discount of about $3,400.
Definitely some top notch folks. We are a new start up company and they spent as much time with us as we wanted. No pressure sales and I feel we got as good a deal as you could get.
Here is the info on the machine we bought

and some info on the ESP plan

Good luck in your purchase.

Thanks for taking the time to talking to me. I am going to the ISS show in AC today. I hope i can get a better deal.
Thanks
Re: Am I getting the best price?
Here is another site about their ESP plan
http://www.barudanamerica.com/index/starting-a-business/startup-program/package-includes.html
Barudan is there. Stop by and talk to Bob Stone. He is one of the sales mangers. He is one of the friendliest people you could ever meet. IMHO, Barudan is the Lexus of embroidery machines. From what I have read on here, Tajima is good but their quality isn't what it used to be in previous years.
If you are thinking about getting financing, see Sean Evans at Beacon. Another great guy.
Good luck.

Re: Am I getting the best price?
Do you really need the Neo Plus? Unless you plan to do lots of heavy jackets and blankets a Neo 2 will work fine for less cost. I'm not familiar with Neo Plus pricing but does that include the hoop and cap kits? Those are extra for the Neo 2 (along with the stand which is part of the Neo Plus). If you don't need all the hoops and can supply your own stand then a Neo 2 would be considerably cheaper. Either way you should be able to get a show price.

Re: Am I getting the best price?
DO NOT buy an SWF. They are awful, I have had numerous bad experiences. Their support / service is horrible.
Re: Am I getting the best price?
I was just offered a Special from Hirsch a neo one head AND tajima Illustrator extreme for 14,995 i can give you the number to the sales guy that is offering that.

Re: Am I getting the best price?
You can pick those up new for around $13,500 with no extras. For 16K I would have them through a bunch of extras in with that.

Re: Am I getting the best price?
If you can go with a Neo 2 - not the Plus- you can get a much better deal. Everything should be itemized in the deal - machine/ stand, hoop kit, hat kit and software plus freight. If you purchase a Neo 2 you can eliminate the stand. Also, consider not getting the hoop kit (most people don't use some of the hoops) and purchase 2 15 cm and jacket back hoops separately. Software is another area where people save. I don't know what level you want to purchase but consider going with an editing level or a brand other than Pulse.

Re: Am I getting the best price?
Why other than Pulse? Its a good Platform for a start up company the only other i would recomend is Wilcom. Both give great stich quality.

Re: Am I getting the best price?
NEO plus is a NEO with an LCD screen ... not really work the extra $3,000 in my opinion.
PS- You guys do realize this post is 3 months old?

Re: Am I getting the best price?
All prices on any equipment is negotiable! When I bought my Amaya I kept letting the salesman call me back for over three weeks until I got the price down by over $5,000. It is always a buyer's market if you have the patience.
