Have you tried adding about 5% noise to the blend?

If it's a laser printer it could be the cogs driving the film?
Does it happen on plain paper?
Can you change the 45 to 22?

it could be:
You are printing at 45 or 90 degrees?
You are printing too high a halftone for that printer?
Your printer is banding?
Any thoughts?

we are printing at 45 degrees. the printer is a xante screenwriter 3. lpi is 32 to 45 on 1200 dpi. does this help?

is it banding or moire pattern? i have to run a head cleaning about once a week to keep my film from banding ink-wise

I'll try the 5 , thanks. I can't see it on paper but I can't see it on velum until I burn it and it's in the screen
