Brother BE-100 software, key and machine setup

I am a newbie who bought a Brother BES-1210AC together with the BE-100 software. It also came with a small hardware adaptor-looking thing written "key". My problem is I don't know how to setup the software, key and machine so my computer can communicate with the embroidery machine.

The software CD has 16 digit number (with dashes between every 4 digits) written "key" and another 6 digit number written S/N (guess serial number). On the other hand the small hardware adaptor-looking thing has a small glass with chips inside showing numbers that look like a "key" and a paper sticker with the same S/N number like on the CD.

How do I setup the software, key and the embroidery machine? I tried installing the software and connecting the machine but I was getting a error message... saying something like "install key" or something.

Your help is appreciated.

Put the dongle on the back of your computer where the printer goes to your tower. When you install the software it will ask you for the "key code" which is a set of numbers you described above. The software will walk you through installation and you should be set and ready to go. Hope this helps.
