Brother PR620 vs Renaissance Mini /Cantare

Hello everyone,

I am planning to buy an embroidery machine, for home/office use.
Brother Pr 620 has 6 needle, while Renaissance Mini or Cantare has 12 needle.

1) What Advantage does brother PR620 has over Renaissance Mini or Cantare ?

2) Could someone share their experience about Renaissance Mini/Cantare machine ?
3) How Reliable ? are Renaissance embriodery machine ?
4) and Frequency of Faults ? and what about problems with spare parts ?
4a) who is "G7 Solutions" ?
4b) and which country are they from ?

5) Does Renaissance embroidery machine has an" Automatic Needle Threading button" ?

6) Does anyone has any bad experience with the Renaissance Mini or Cantare ?

7) Is it possible to use "Magellan" software on a Brother PR-620 ?

8) How does Brother PE-Design 7 compare against Magellan digitizing software ?

Any Partial answer is welcome and appreciated.

Thank You.

What is the price difference? What file extension does the Ren. Mini and cantare take? My brother home machine takes .DST and .PES, so I assume the PR will take them as well.

FYI, looking for parts for my Renaissance today, was told that midwest(?) bought Renaissance, spoke with midwest and was told they would soon NOT be carrying parts for Renaissance... Buyer beware IF considering a Renaissance:mad:

Meghan is right. Renaissance was bought by Prodigy. Prodigy was supporting Renaissance but I do not think they are making parts for them any longer. Steer clear of Renaissance unless you are getting a real good price for it.
