Just stumbled apon this little tutorial on how to make an exposure unit with a vacuum style lid. I think I am going to give it a try. With some of my own mods of course.

Re: DIY Vacuum Exposure Unit
What next? Automatic presses made of wood?
Re: DIY Vacuum Exposure Unit
Whatsmwrongmwith DIYing anmexposure unit, it is a very simple piece of equipment and nothing compared to an automatic press. A lot of people build their own exposure units from scratch sourcing th major parts online and building a frame around it, it's not rocket science.
Re: DIY Vacuum Exposure Unit
I got one that I didn't even build... free MH "grow light" suspended over a table and a vacuum storage back to smash the film to the screen.
"Shutter" (board) over the entire screen and let light warm up for 3 mins... then pull off board and start time. 55 seconds later turn off light and pull out screen.
It's not the fastest process but it works.
