I need help. I am trying to embroider in nylon jackets with a cotton liner.
I'm using med weight cut-away backing.
I am new to this so any help would be great.
Thanks,

Re: embroidering on lined jackets
I just finished 12 of them with 3 designs per jacket(including a full jacketback). I pin an area around the design, then hoop. This just keeps the two layers together. I suppose there is an easier way, but for the nylon, I prefer hooping to using clamps or fast frames. Regular tearaway as the cotton liner will support the design. I've never had a problem doing it this way.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try your suggestions.
Re: embroidering on lined jackets
I usually wrap paper tape around the inner hoop when hooping nylon jackets to minimize slipping.
