I just bought a refurbished Epson 4000 and can not get it to load clear film from rolls or through the paper tray. It will pick up paper just fine. Does anyone know any tricks?
Re: Epson 4000 film problem
yes, first thing is first put it on sheet setting so that the machine will display ready. Next hit the menu button printer set up hit the right arrow, scroll down and select check paper size hit right arrow change to OFF* hit the left arrow and look for check paper sckew hit the right arrow and change to OFF* hit the left arrow until the machine reads ready again load you roll film in the machine and your good to go. If you have it in no cut mode then you may want to also turn OFF* the print Line in the Printer Setup.

Re: Epson 4000 film problem
Thanks for your help. For some reason I can not find the skew menu. Do you know how to get there?
Re: Epson 4000 film problem
Change the paper to a roll with scissors.
Pull the film through the printer and gently wind back, that will get it straight.
When it says 'press pause', press and hold the cut button, that will trim the edge off and make sure it's straight.
