Currently we use the fast frame system for embroidering and we love it. No problems at all on most projects but when we do images that require more dense stitching the stitch out will start to pucker and does not maintain its shape as well as we would like. From what I understand if we use a regular hooping setup with different stabilizer this will go away.
I am trying to see if anyone knows of a way to continue using the fastframes set up and not have this problem?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks...
Re: Fast Frames and dense images puckering
What I do, is use the stickyback stabilizer, with the regular tearaway and then use some small clips I got from Home Depot around the edges to hold the item being stitched in place. I also, depending on the design lower my tension a little.

Yes, use binder clips (purchase from local office supply store) but are you embroidering left chest logos on knit fabrics with fast frames? If so, you'll be much better off using standard hoops to maintain proper tension and avoid registration problems. Fast Frames are great but they aren't the best choice for every project.

If I remember correctly Fast frames makes some clips to go on the edges that helps hold what ever you are trying to stitch so it doest move as easy. Someone else may confirm this.

I have used a stickyback stabilizer coupled with with a light cutaway or tearaway backing. Puckering is controled by more stabilzation or in some cases you can ease the tensions(top and bottom together) to eliminate the problem.
