I need a new piece of rubber for my bottom platen. Does anyone know where I can get one of these. Mine has indents in it and seems like the transfer doesn't adhere to the shirt in that certain spot. I tried putting a sweat shirt over the bottom platen but didn't seem to help.
thanks

Re: Heat press question
The owner of this site is LOU, just give him a call he has a sleeve to put your shirts into and it will eliminate the need of the rubber on the bottom. Or just ask LOU he sells rubber products and probably that rubber too.
Re: Heat press question
Try Alpha Supply, here is a direct link.

You will need the rubber pad (high temp silicon) and the high temp adhesive to do the job. Additionally give them a call and they will give you a set of instructions.
Additionally, be sure to get all old residue off the lower platten, do not gouge it in any way. You will also need to get off all the old glue. This is not a quick job, it will take a bit of time and effort but the better job that you do the better off you will be. If you do not have the gumption to tackle this contact the maker of your press to find a service shop/person. DON'T SKIMP!
Re: Heat press question
It may actually be a cold spot on your top platten. You should grab a heat Temp Gun and go over the entire Top platten to see if the temperture is same everywhere. You should be able to get parts for your heat press if needed from the manufacturer.
Re: Heat press question
I just bought this heat press used off of a guy and it's a national so they are no longer in business. It looks like they had something in the heat press like a shirt folded over and closed it and now there is a permanent impression of the fold. I would imagine that any brand 15X15 bottom platen rubber would work. Right????
Re: Heat press question
You are correct, It should.
