Hoops for a Brother BAS 416??

So I picked up my machine today. I have a whole bucket of hoops to use, but only a couple that I can tell are for my machine. Some are Tajima and I still need to figure out the rest of them. There are some that are wood, others that are green. How do I know which are for my machine. If I need to get correct hoops, where do I get then?? Also I would like to to know where I can get a hoop master system. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

They are probably all for your machine. I used to own a 416 and they came with Tajima hoops (green). The wood hoops are probably your jacketback hoops. There are probably hoops without arms that attach to the machine. These are for flat goods. I'm sure I probably did not cover all the hoops since I am doing this from memory. God luck.

I have a 416 and will say that NONE will work... I'll take them off your hands for free too... just to ease the pain.

Just kidding of course. They'll all work in one capacity or another. My machine has one holder that has adjustable arms AND a Tajima 360 holder. The smallest setting is 360. The Tajima green circle hoops are your awesome hoops. Square and rectangle hoops are awful compared to the round ones. There should also be a jacket back holder that actually attaches to the carrier where the hoop holder attaches (you have to remove it) and then there should be some nice large green hoops with an attachment at each end for your jackets. I think they hoop in reverse to the tubular hoops. The 416 is very much like an old Tajima machine. I get my parts from a place called white diamond or something like that out of NYC. If you have the adjustable arm holder then you can do about any hoop made as long as it's Tajima or Brother.

Sorry, I know you are itching to spend money.. but just use some Scotch tape and patience for now.. there is really no reason to buy a hoopmaster from day one. Actually, once you get used to the tape idea you can pretty much hoop most items by eyeballing. sorry.. but true.

If you had a 6 head or higher, then YES, by all means that system will save you lots of time and headache.. but not with a singlehead.
