New machine suggestions

I have been sewing for years and purchased a brother combo embroidery machine last year. It will only do 4X4 designs and it is so limiting....I have tried researching online a good machine that will give me larger hoop size but I really don't want to spend a fortune since I don't typically do anything for resale, although I'd like to occasionally offer monogram, and maybe a couple other small projects for sale. Would the larger brother machine with a 5X7 hoop really be much better? I wouldn't need a sewing option with the new machine since I plan to keep my current one. Thanks for any input! I've had a horrible time trying to research this online. I guess my basic question is: will 5x7 be that much better?

personally I do not feel 5x7 is going to be very exciting. maybe visit some sewing centers? an ISS show? see what is out there with pre-owned maybe? OR practice with the machine you have with 8x8 or larger... by splitting the designs into pieces. hey it works. or frame them in pieces? I have a series of 4x4 designs that I stapled to 4x4 canvases and hung them together with fishing line. 16 squares, 4 versions. winter, spring, summer and fall. so you are NOT limited , follow your creativity.
