Hello eveyone I am trying to embroider on Nike dry fit hats and after I remove the hoop it appears the threads connecting the hat to the bill have been severed. Separating the cap from the bill. This has never happened to us before! Any ideas? Could it be a hat defect?!?
Thanks, Kate

Re: Perplexed new hat issue
Just ran into this with a bunch of generic hats from Sanmar, Tajima hoops, still trying to find the solution.
Re: Perplexed new hat issue
Our Barudan will sew much closer to the bill than our Tajima will. Something about the hat hoops. I have severed the threads before by trying to center/align the cap after placing the lock down strap on. The seriated edge that goes into the seam will cut the threads.
Re: Perplexed new hat issue
sounds like a hat defect to me!! i'd definitely get a whole of whoever you ordered them from and complain.

Re: Perplexed new hat issue
I use standard Tajima cap hoops. I've never had a complaint about being too far away from the bill although I won't embroider designs larger than 2.2" high.

Re: Perplexed new hat issue
Hello, while I still think there's a defect... We were able to save the hats by bumping the design up. Apparently it did'nt line being close to the bill. Maybe it's out hooping sysytem but everyone seems to get closer than I can. What do you guys use?!
Thanks for the responses!
