Happy Voyager or Amaya XT?

I am fairly new to embroidery have two machines for home use. I am looking to purchase a commercial machine because my needs are sporadic, but when I do a job it is rather large. The machine will be in my home, so I don't want something too large. I want at least 12 needles so that I don't havde to change thread during sewout. I am thinking about the Happy Voyager or the Amaya XT. I already have Generations software and the two companies say that I can use my software on either machine. Any suggestions?

I have had my AMAYA XT for three years and am extremely happy with it and the tech support offered. Also working out of my home space is always an issue. Iam adding a second head since my business now demands it so the AMAYA XT has been the perfect fit for me.

Having recently gone through a purchasing decision (Tajima vs Happy vs Amaya) I can honestly say you will not go wrong with either machine. Just remember the Voyage only has a 12x12 sewing field and the Amaya has a full jacket back sewing area... much different machines. If you plan on doing this as a business jacket backs are a necessity.

No matter what you decide pick the machine that has the closest support. See when a machine breaks or you have a problem (warranty fixes apply here, too) they charge you travel time, so pick a machine manufacturer that charges you the least for visits.

Thanks for your advice. I am still looking into both machines. I am going to see an Amaya in a local shop on Monday. I haven't seen a Happy yet. Thanks again and please give me any other advice you think of.
