Ok I have the PE design version 7 and when doing the design it doesnt cut the thread between letters and words, if you use the font that is stored on the machine everything works fine, thread is cut between letters and words , just not a down loaded PE Design. After completeing the embroidery it pulls out. Bobbin is full and everything seems fine on the Brother 600.:mad: :( :mad: Did I buy a piece of crap?

is the DSB file for the PE design. sometimes my clients meet the same problem as you. then i convert the file to DSB format file, then the problem is solved.
Cap, Full back, 3D Puff, tackle twill, water-soluble, sequin, chenille, cut-work, patch/emblem, towel ect.

What do you mean by DSB? After all designing is complete I then convert to DSB and then down load to the card and I can do all of this with the software I have now?

I never have any problem with this - it must be you are not converting the type (font) before stitching - you need to make sure you follow the directions with PE Design relative to font creation - PE 7 has a font generator program in it - convert a True Type font to an embroidery font and you will have no issue - I just sewed out 10 pieces this morning all sizes of type from 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inch in height and variable stroke widths....PE Design is not the best software program - but it is not all that bad as lower priced programs go. I started out using PE went from Basic to 5 to 7 to using Wilcom - PE is fine if you are preparing designs for a machine like the PR 600 or EMP 6.....from my experience DST files on teh Brother and Baby Lock do not read as well as PES files - try saving your designs as PES files - this is the preferred format for Brother and BabyLock PR600 / EMP6 type 6 needle machines.

So by doing this I wont have the thread drag that I have now? All I have to do is convert from true type to embroidery font? Im not trying to ask dumb questions I just dont want to spend all that time cutting the thread drag from letter to letter.

First you will need to convert your fonts - true - then you have to realize that most software / machines will do jump stitches between the letters as opposed to cutting each trim in an effort to save time and wear / tear on teh cutting blades - plus it keeps the machine from starting and stopping at each letter...this is also the preference of most embroiderers....that said - you may also want to adjust the spacing (known as leading) between your letters - I usually work in the neighborhood of 10% of the height of the letter - it will depend on the font - but I prefer my letters a little closer - this minimizes jump stitch trims - it is really hard to tell you what is best for you without seeing the design or lettering you are attempting - but trust me when I say you don't want your machine to stop and trim after each letter - if you digitized your design correctly and converted your font correctly - the machine will "tie off" at the end of each letter before it does the "jump stitch" and so it makes trimming very easy and the thread will not pull out after you trim out the jumps - I hope this helps.
