Please Help Newbie Question

Hi, to whomever reads:

I need to know what machine I need to take an already developed picture with anyone's face on it and have it printed on clothing in either black and white or even in color to any garment like t-shirt, tank top etc. I don't want it to be an iron on. I would like it to look as original as the garment,and for it to be washable and iron proof. Please let me know what type of machine or machines I need to do this! Thanks!

If you don't want to use sublimation transfers to get the image onto a shirt...then the only other way is to screenprint it. That would involve "four color process" printing which is tricky at best. Not to mention expensive to start up.
Now, if your not familar with screenprinting then look for a sublimation printer. It is heat pressed into the garmet, but more durable that a regular "iron on" from an ink-jet printer. Plus your cost to set up will be a whole lot less expensive.

If you have a print shop that can output the picture with a color laser instead of an inkjet, the logo will last a little longer if heat applied. Sublimation is your best bet. I don't have a sublimation press but I have done numerous heat transfers from a color laser printer.

In very small quantities that is the only way you are going to do it economically. We have a HP3050 Indigo press that can print heat transfer material. This way you don’t have costly screen setups and can do low qty’s somewhat reasonably. If you get into screen printing you are looking at $35-50/color for just the setup of the screen. Hope this helps.

Brother GT-541 Inkjet printer. Prints directly onto the shirt. No software needed. Photos need about 60% saturation instead of normal 100%. Piece of cake if you have the place to sell the shirts, then it will just make you money.
