i hope someone can help me trouble shoot what im having problems with i have a designer 1 about 10 years old uses the floppy when i am embroiderying i am having trouble with my top thread bunching up inder my fabric and when i remove the bunched up tread on the underside i am noticing that their dosent seem to be any bobbin thread mixed with the top thread i hope im making sence but from what i can see visually it must be the bobbin that is not catching and so the top thread has nothing to catch has anyone had any experience with this even if its a diffrent machine any suggestions would be greatly apreciated thanks
Re: problems with my designer 1
Make sure your bobbin is in correctly and that the thread is properly wound. I love my Designer 1, but it isn't very good at winding bobbins evenly. It also has to be the correct bobbin type for the machine--I even had trouble using the "compatible" bobbins, so had to go back to the "genuine" Husqvarna Viking bobbins.
Has it worked ok before and is just now acting up? Check for a thread stuck near the bobbin case, buildup of lint under the bobbin case, bent needle. Is your "sewing advisor" set for the right type of fabric? Using the "R" embroidery foot?
If it works ok for regular sewing and/or worked fine last time you embroidered, it is problably just something you are overlooking.
Good luck :-) --Liz
