Product Loyalty

We have had opportunities over the years to see many shops grow from the simplest beginnings. I think everyone's first automatic somehow almost compares to a first child. The excitement and expectations are very contagious for anyone nearby. We are lucky to be involved with one such customer (Dead and Buried in Los Angeles). They had worked for and reached the point where many hope to be, they needed their first automatic. Obviously the budget was very tight. We happen to have worked with American Equipment for many years and were very familiar with the Multiprinter. ( $3k and no need for compressor, manufactured more than 30 years ago) I could see their faces as we pushed her into their shop one late evening, I think maybe they were hoping for something along the lines of what you might see at the tradeshows, smooth lines, shiny paint, beepers and flashing lights. But they trusted and went along with the program. Years later and many times in between I was reminded what a ******* machine it is, even when it went out the door to make room for the new press to take its place. (due to floor space) It is already in its new home and doing what it has been doing for so many years. I am sure it will be there long after we are done. Well as you can see by the picture, what an influence and how serious the relationship end up being.
