Ok this is a stupid question, but I am totally new to this. My machine is new and I have never used any type of embroidery machine before. I have a Singer Futura CE-250.
My question is: when embroidering a design does the bobbin thread need to match the top thread? I thought the bottom thread wouldn't matter, and I didn't want to have to change the bobbin with every color change, but it seems to be pulling that thread to the top in the design. Is that normal?
Thanks,
PatS
Re: Question for all
We only use white bobbins in my store. If you have bobbin thread showing on top, your top tension is running to tight. I am not familiar with your machine so I cant tell you how to adjust it but its definately to tight.
Have a great day! :)

Re: Question for all
Thank you so much! I have it set to embroidery, but I will play around with it and see if I can loosen it up.
Re: Question for all
Only rarely do some embroiderers use a similar colored bobbin thread. An example would be towels because the back would seen. Even then black bobbin thread would surfice for dark-colored towels.
