Do any of you open up the lining on your jacket back embroideries and then sew them back after? This would mean the inside of the jacket would appear as from the manufacturer. OR do you sew through the lining and and allow the bad side of the embroidery to show inside the jacket?
I know the answer is usually sew through... but do you get any pushback from your clients on this?

Re: remove lining from jackets?
I sew through the lining and explain to the customer about how panel programs work on large orders. The only time I cut backs loose is on vented fishing shirts and I clear it first with the customer and let them know that THEY can sew the backs back if they so desire. I guess with 39 heads I'm kind of a medium size shop and I just don't have time to cut them apart and sew them back together.
