Single Needle False Thread Breaks

Hello all, I have a brother BES-1210AC single head that is constantly having false thread breaks on needle number 8. I have tried adjusting the thread tension, cleaning the rotary hook, and oiling everything and yet, the problem persists. Any insight into this would be wonderful, I hate to pay $90 an hour for something that I simply overlooked.

I have just learnt this little trick from my machine man. If the hole in the needle is alined slightly to the left you will miss the hook or have thread breaks. If it is alined straight ahead or slightly to the right then all should be OK. Have you changed the thread and tried it? Could be a faulty or dry thread.

Earl...

I have the same exact machines. Try wrapping the thread sensor 3 or 4 tines instead if 2. It's the little black wheel right under the fixed guide at the top of the machine... I get those once in awhile and that trick works for me.

Since my last post, I have changed the needle it does seem to be positioned correctly and to the best of my knowledge it has not hit anything.
